What happened exactly, to cause that fission reaction?
- Steve Ballmer karate-chopped a chair, splitting the nucleus of a chair atom, releasing a massive amount of energy.
- A chair, accelerated to near-infinite velocity, stuck another chair, causing it to fly off and strike two others, and so on, and so on.
- It was actually a fusion reaction, when Anger particals combined with Frustration particles inside of Ballmer's head.
- It was fusion, but it occurred when Ballmer choked his Jerry Yang blow-up doll so hard, that his grip forced the nuclei together, and the electrostatic repulsion was overcome by the attractive nuclear force, which resulted in a massive release of energy.
- A Jerry Yang-inator arrived from the future and used excessive force to stop the merger.
- Ballmer ate beans for lunch.

The Joy of Tech is a comic about technology and pop culture. We like to feature the people and events that are making tech news. We tend to focus on Apple news and events because they often affect the industry in general, and because we are longtime Mac users here at GeekCulture Headquarters. We create The Joy of Tech using Apple computers, mostly on our PowerBooks, running Mac OS X Tiger. We use software from Apple, Adobe, Macromedia, BBedit, and others, including Microsoft (yep, we do use Microsoft Office for Mac on occasion). Nitrozac uses a Wacom tablet to do her illustrations.
